What Is Parallel Aiming?
Parallel aiming is an advanced technique that can replace the ghost ball system of aiming. Famous player Willi Mosconi introduced this technique and it has since been widely adopted.

Steps
First, you must draw a line from the center of the object ball towards the desired pocket and then mark the contact point. Next, you create a parallel line from the cue ball to the cushion with the same angle; note the contact point on the cue ball. After this, you draw a line from the cue ball’s contact point to the object ball’s contact point. This new line will dictate what angle you need to hit the cue ball at.

Important Things To Remember
This form of aiming will help you develop the proper angles to your shot, but the power that is required will be dependent on the situation of where the cue and object ball are.
