The Pool Stance
The Pool Stance
Every single pool player has a different stance that works for their body and playing types. The pool stance will highly attribute to ones aim and balance.
Key Points
There are a few key things to remember when you are setting up your pool stance, such as keeping your body weight evenly distributed to eliminate any unnecessary movement resulted from imbalance. Also, making sure that there is enough room around you so that your cue is free and leveled.
Aiming
Draw an imaginary line from the cue ball down your cue, as your two feet are parallel around and behind the cue stick. Once you determine what angles you need to hit make the shot, readjust yourself so that both your feet are at a 45-degree angle to the cue (the side you stand will depend on your dominant hand). After you get into this position be sure to properly bridge your cue and follow through with your shot.
