Fractional Aiming

Fractional Aiming

Fractional Aiming
This technical form of aiming is widely used by professional snooker players. Today we will teach players how to properly implement this technique of aiming.

Slicing The Object Ball
First you must visualize the object ball in slices. Now imagine a moon during an eclipse, use that concept and implement a ghost ball over the object ball. There is 1 way to directly hit the object ball with the cue in the center, but 8 other ways you can slice the shot.

Where To Hit
You must find the reference points using the slices and aim your shot. To handle discrepancies in between the angles, you must also determine if they are too thin or thick. Only great practice will teach experienced players whether a shot is 1/4 or 1/8th of a ball hit.

For the most part, you do not need split the ball into 16+ pieces, but at least you should aim for 3 equal slices.
